Iqony Wind is proud to be part of this transformation. Since 2010, we’ve been shaping the future of energy by developing, financing, building, and operating onshore wind farms across Europe, with a strong focus on Germany and France.

Project development

Project development begins with a site assessment that takes nature, the environment and infrastructure into account. This is followed by microscouting and detailed planning and optimisation of the project. Important studies for the approval application are coordinated and commissioned. At the same time, financing concepts and participation models are developed. Finally, pre-developed projects are evaluated and, if necessary, purchased.

Construction and implementation

During the construction and implementation phase, leading manufacturers and local companies are contracted. Power purchase agreements are concluded, and we take over both the technical and commercial management of the construction process. In addition, we coordinate the site activities and the commissioning of the turbines.

Operation and Optimization

Our technical and commercial operations management includes the supervision and control of service providers as well as the continuous optimization of turbine performance. Measures to increase yields are assessed and implemented, while profitable power marketing strategies are constantly monitored and further developed.

Repowering

In repowering projects, we replace existing wind turbines with modern, high-performance technology to significantly increase output. This process begins with a thorough analysis of the site and permitting conditions, followed by updating environmental and technical assessments. We then plan the dismantling and sustainable disposal of old turbines. Next, new foundations and infrastructure are constructed, the turbines are installed, and commissioning is carried out. The goal: higher energy yields and an extended operational lifetime for the wind farm.

In addition to the usual measures to avoid, reduce or compensate for the environmental impacts of wind farms, we installed a bird detection system in 2023. This high-performance system, equipped with eight 4K cameras, monitors bird activity around the wind turbines in real time. It helps reduce the number of collisions by deterring birds with intelligent stroboscopic deterrents, and minimizing turbine downtime.

Reliable operation

Green energy - As much and as sustainably as possible

We guarantee reliable operation, minimum downtime, maximum efficiency and optimum output from our wind turbines. Since 2023, we have been using drones to monitor our wind turbines. Equipped with high-resolution cameras, these drones inspect all the blades and masts of our wind farms. Potential damage is detected quickly and accurately. This contributes to preventive maintenance and safe turbine operation.
